Assignment #4: M2 The Brothers Karamazov
Yes, I actually do agree with Dostoyevsky. There would be a lot more evil sins
then we see today. A community without a God or some supernatural power demands
is a call for bad things happening. There would be people trying to act like
God. Having no God in a society would mean that Satan has power and is in
control. Barker stated that god represents good things while Satan represents
bad things in the community. Like people say an idle mind is the devil’s workshop.
The community members will think it is right to commit murder for a person they
consider bad. The person doing the killing would be the hero. As Karamazov,
Dostoyevsky famously said, “Without God, everything is permissible.” For my
reasons above I agree with this statement.
